Become a dragon and fly to new lands and discover new cultures, new friends in an experience you will never forget. An authentic summer camp experience sure to push the boundaries of language learning and fun.

Dragon Abroad Program 

– Leader In Training Program (LIT)

This summer abroad is a 5 week intensive course where students will be pushed physically, mentally and emotionally because of the intense training, responsibility, language immersion and cultural exposure.

 

As trained counselors, students will be in charge of local Canadian children to guide them and help them have a wonderful summer doing a variety of activities at a typical summer camp in the beautiful surroundings of Bancroft, Ontario located north of Toronto.

 

Here is where students will gain experience in a leadership role helping them to build their resume for future entrance into Universities and Colleges anywhere in the world.

 

This program is designed to help transition teenagers from adolescents to adults getting a taste of what it is like in the real world solving problems and learning to socialize in multiple environments. 

Requirements:

  • 16 – 18 years of age

  • Must pass interview before acceptance into the program.

  • Must reach a certain level of English before you can be accepted into the LIT program, higher than 4.0 EILTS score. If you are unsure of what your level is, we will provide an assessment to gage your level of English.


Includes:

  • Flight

  • Visa application

  • LIT program (5weeks)

  • Food (3 meals a day including snacks)

  • Accommodation (authentic cabins recently renovated) 

  • Transportation in Canada

  • 2 Workshops prior to departure (preparation)

  • Cedar Ridge T-Shirt

  • 1-2 off camp trips with camp counselor

  • 24-hour onsite nurse

  • Direct contact with director in Canada

Dragon’s Abroad Silver Program

Summer Program + ESL classes

Students looking for an all English environment at a local summer camp designed for local Canadian children.

 

International students will meet and be placed into cabins with local Canadian campers to experience outdoor activities, developing social skills, leadership skills and gain an amazing cultural experience using English.

 

This hands on approach to is not only fun and stimulating for every camper, they will be required to use everyday English to communicate with local Canadian children developing real life skills for future studies thus gaining a life-changing experience that will forever guide and train them for future goals.

 

With additional ESL classes designed to prepare them for day to day interaction, students will put theory into practice immediately reinforcing what was learned in the classroom.

 

This practical approach is unique to summer abroad programs in that students will have motivation to absorb the day to day lessons to properly prepare them for daily activities and engage fellow Canadian students in fun and experiential situations.

Dragon’s Abroad Silver Program

Dragon’s Abroad Gold Program

Summer Program + ESL classes +
2 nights Toronto Tour with local guide

The gold program holds the same amount of rigor as the Silver program with the addition of a 2 night trip to Canada’s largest city, Toronto.

 

Being exposed to the day to day routines of the Canadian people, students will have an opportunity to directly interact with locals in the city as well as at the camp.

 

Exposure to a variety of environments help to develop every international learner to life abroad gaining insight through observation and interaction of local Canadians in their natural environment.

Students will be challenged to solve problems and understand the benefits of using English abroad.

 

This life changing trip will put campers in direct contact with local Canadians to begin networking and discover the world outside of what they know.
